Story-telling: Videos 4 & 5

As you listen to stories, jot down useful language of the narrative sort. Typical phrases that allow you to make progress in a story, and notice tenses and modals!

  1. I enjoyed listening Sean Carroll talking about Stephen Hawking and the way he was offered to work with him. The first time he met him and how stubborn was and the way of asking for his British tea he could not make up his mind to choose one. The way Sean was telling different stories and the tenses he was using it helps me a lot thanks for posting this videos later I will enjoy the second one.

  2. Thanks for these new videos, Michelle. I found them very interesting and useful to learn new vocabulary and expressions (and to remember vocabulary that I had forgotten too) and although I could not catch some of the words, I think I totally understand both stories. I thought that my English was better than it really is, so I will have to listen to a lot of stories like these if I want to improve my speaking too.
